The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) – it was stated that In September 2014 UNICEF started implementing a joint programme in collaboration with UN Women on Women, Peace and Security (WPS) which was funded by the European Union (EU). The programme is been organised to support the Nigerian Government at the (Federal level), three Northern Nigerian States namely Plateau, Gombe, Adamawa, and some of the selected Local Government Areas (LGAs) to powered women’s leadership, advance gender equality and enhance protection for women and children in conflict settings.
However, UNICEF is actually responsible for implementation of Component 2 of the programme,  they are as follow, ‘to improve access to reporting mechanisms and protective services for girls and women affected by human rights abuses, which include gender based violence, in different 3 states of northern Nigeria”. This will definitely stands to improve avenues for reporting of child rights violation and Gender Based Violence in Gombe & Plateau  States, strengthening access to and a good quality of services for children and women who had the experienced of violence (including gender based violence (GBV), abuse, neglect and exploitation and strengthening the information management system for collecting data on violations.

University degree in Social Sciences, Business Management, Administration 

Job Title: Education Specialist

Advanced university degree in one or more of the discipline relevant to the following areas: Education; Primary Education, or a Social Sciences fields relevant to international development assistance.

Master’s Degree in Social Science, Social Work, Social Development, Child Development or related field or minimum of five years of relevant experience, preferably with UN or NGOs at national or international level, in the field of unaccompanied and separated children in situations of armed conflict
